Our Nulla home

This was something I started with my father in mind, back in September 2013. Not even realising I’d make history as the first ever Indigenous Candle Maker in our Beautiful Country…….

My Dad, Kevin McLaren, was born on the Burra Bee Dee Mission in Coonabarabran back in 1939. I was his youngest and definitely a Daddy’s girl. He passed away in 1989 from Cancer at the young age of 49, I was only 11. I created My Kamilaroi Pride, with the input of family regarding colours etc, as a tribute to our mob and especially my Dad. Which became the first Indigenous candle ever made…. Damn Straight I am super proud of that!!!!!!

As for me, I was Born and Bred in Dharawal Country (Sutherland Shire), 30 mins South of Eora (Sydney). I had to choose a special name that would always remind me, no matter where I end up in life.... Nulla will always be my home. I was actually walking on North Cronulla Beach when I thought of the name...... NULLA BREEZE....

After almost 12 years of my original name, I decided it was time for a complete revamp… My Nulla B is now NULLA HOME.

I am the proud Mumma to two stunning daughters, Jordan and Josie. Who I proudly had 10 months apart (no regrets)….. and raised them by myself since Josie was 20 months old. They are now 20 & 21. Those girls help me with everything, it’s a real family effort. They have worked their butts off, with no complaints, for 12 years and their business & work ethic is better than most adults. So proud of them. Nulla would be nothing without their help. Most of you already know that as you’ve seen it for yourselves.

Anyways, here’s the website. As you know we make more than candles, like Body Yogurts, Whipped Soaps, Diffusers etc…. they will be added in the next couple of weeks. I will also be adding more candles. If you need any help, please let me know.
